The V1 Kore wing is born from 2 and a half years of intensive development, the practice of the wing has never been so easy and efficient at the same time. INTRODUCTION
Wings are becoming more and more efficient while being even more accessible.
The Kore wing is designed for all riders looking for an easy, maneuverable and high-performance wing. It is suitable for freefly while having a top speed and an exceptional wind rise.
EASE OF USE
The Kore is a wing that has been targeted for all riders. Beginner riders, but also freestylers and those looking for maximum maneuverability wanting a compact wing.
The reduced span of the Kore wing allows it to be ultra playful and safe.
Compared to the V2 Carve of the same surface, the wingspan has been reduced by 10%, more than 40cm for a 6m².
This compact shape increases the ease for pumping and maneuverability.
The shorter wingspan associated with a specific tip design (the end of the wing) allows in case of touch to bounce the tip on the water and therefore to be able to push the limits of the rider especially during 360° or backloops attempts during which the ability of the wing to bounce on the water at the time of reception is fundamental for the success of the trick.
POWER AND HYDRODYNAMIC PROFILE
The hydrodynamic profile of the Kore is based on the profile of the V2 Carve. This profile combined with a new distribution of skin tension on the wing made it possible to significantly increase the power in light winds. You ride with a smaller wing and therefore more playful.
This distribution of skin tension evolves according to the surfaces. It facilitates pumping for large sizes (6m², 5m²) and allows an increase in the top end for smaller sizes (4m² and 3.3m²).
Also, the Kore wing create a impressive vertical lift that increases the low range and facilitates jibes and tacks.
Thanks to this distribution of the skin tensions, the result of the introduction of a specific algorithm according to the wing surfaces, the Kore does not flap even without the addition of battens on the trailing edge.
The Kore is a powerful wing that has an ability to generate power with low arm movements, resulting in better driving accuracy.
Finally, the new skin tension distribution significantly reduces the wrinkles on the sail and thus increases the overall performance of the wing.
CENTRAL STRUT AND HANDLES: ERGONOMICS-EASYNESS
We focus particular attention to the design of the central struut as well as the handles.
There are two main types of handles on wings:
- Flexible handles made of foams and weebings: they are non-contendant, safe but the handle of the wing is less accurate.
- The rigid handles also called mini booms: they give more precision to driving but are heavier and can injure or damage the boards in case of impact.
Therefore, it seems obvious that this design needs to be completely redesigned.
We are convinced that soft handles are ideal for the practice of wing, they do not hurt, are comfortable, allow the wing to be folded easily. But most handles have a «U» shape that reduces their rigidity especially in torsion.
Therefore, to reduce these twist phenomena but also to be able to move the hands as your requirements, we have introduced a specific multi curves strut design with straight handles.
Thanks to this exclusive strut design. It is possible to have the best of both worlds: The stiffness of rigid handles with the comfort of soft handles.
Finally, the ergonomics of the handles with a rear handle closer to the wing than the front handle reduces fatigue and shoulder pain by stretching the rear arm: You increase your riding time experience.
Thanks to this increased stiffness of the handles, The V1 Kore is designed with longer handles without sacrificing the control of the wing. It is thus possible to move feely the hands. The Kore can be ride with one hand and, during rotations, it make it easy to grab the handles to succeed in his tricks, the waterstart is facilitated.
FREEFLY HANDLE
The freefly front handle is an important handle for holding the wing in surfing.
Its placement and width are crucial.
The handle should be rigid (not too wide) and well located neither too high nor too low on the leading edge.
We took a lot of attention to its placement for maximum control and comfort.
